Fresh Whole Squid Ready To Cook
Whole squid, tubes and tentacles intact, the skin a mottled pink-brown over paler flesh and the tentacles still carrying their suckers. They are shown piled on a white plate at a kitchen sink, heaped on a white board with steel trays of more squid behind, and again on a white plate beside a steel sink with a small bowl of liquid and the edge of a knife in frame.
The tubes are plump and glossy and the tentacles curl when lifted. Clean them, then score the tubes, slice them into rings or cook them whole. Grill, fry quickly or simmer briefly so the flesh stays tender.
